This is a gem that I found in my room. It has an an Arizona Bark Scorpion in it. The Scorpion is dead, but that was the way it came. It makes a great room decoration! I think the scorpion looks really cool. You can even see its mandibles up-close. Have you seen any scorpions? You can study the gem, although it is safe.

Hello SIr Isaac II,
ReplyDeleteI am also interested in the many species of animals we can find in the wild. Yes, I have also seen scorpions. They are native to my area.
Around my area, I have been involved in biological studies. My role is more as a photographer and videographer which means I capture photos of what the scientists and expert lay scientists find. This can include arachnids (like spiders and your scorpion), mammals, birds, insects and plants. It was in a 2014 survey I photographed a local scorpion but my favourite arachnids are spiders.
In my collection of many things, I have two scorpions encased in perspex. One is a giant scorpion from Malaysia and the other a Manchurian scorpion from China. They are much larger than the Australian scorpion I photographed.
Keep up the interest in arachnids. They are fascinating.

Dear Ross,
DeleteHave you heard of the emperor scorpion? It is a large, black scorpion. It is not at all venomous.
This is why a emperor scorpion makes a great pet!
